Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Pulley clients and municipal permitting authorities across Ohio, ensuring seamless project progression through complex regulatory environments.
  • Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge of local permitting rules, building codes, and zoning regulations specific to Ohio jurisdictions to provide accurate, timely guidance to clients.
  • Advise architects, builders, and retailers on permitting strategies that reduce delays, minimize revisions, and accelerate approval timelines for commercial projects including retail rollouts, data centers, and EV charging networks.
  • Proactively manage multiple permitting projects simultaneously, tracking milestones, identifying potential roadblocks, and implementing solutions to keep projects on schedule and within forecasted timelines.
  • Build and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with municipal staff, code officials, and planning departments to facilitate faster review cycles and resolve outstanding issues efficiently.
  • Coordinate with Pulley’s product, engineering, and leadership teams to provide real-world feedback on platform functionality, ensuring permitting workflows are continuously refined based on on-the-ground challenges and client needs.
  • Document and standardize permitting processes across Ohio markets to contribute to scalable best practices that improve predictability and reduce manual effort for internal teams and clients.
  • Anticipate jurisdiction-specific surprises—such as changing requirements, backlog delays, or documentation errors—and take preemptive action to mitigate risks to project timelines.
  • Translate complex regulatory language into clear, actionable instructions for clients who may not have permitting expertise, enhancing their confidence and reducing confusion during approvals.
  • Track and report on permitting performance metrics, including approval durations, submission success rates, and common bottlenecks, to inform internal process improvements and client forecasting accuracy.
  • Represent Pulley professionally in all interactions with public officials, maintaining the company’s reputation as a trusted partner in commercial construction permitting.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance the AI-powered permitting intelligence platform by validating data inputs, testing new features, and identifying gaps in jurisdictional rule coverage.
  • Support client onboarding by walking new clients through Pulley’s permitting process, setting expectations, and aligning internal resources to meet their project scope and timeline.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all permitting submissions, correspondence, and approvals within company systems to ensure audit readiness and historical reference.
  • Stay current with evolving municipal policies, legislative changes, and emerging trends in commercial construction permitting across Ohio to ensure Pulley’s guidance remains accurate and forward-looking.
