📋 Description

• Serve as the sole Publishing Manager based in South Korea, building and owning Voodoo’s local publishing operations from the ground up in one of the world’s most competitive gaming markets.
• Act as the primary local representative of Voodoo, establishing and maintaining relationships with South Korean game studios, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
• Build and nurture a high-quality network of South Korean game development studios with a focus on cultivating long-term, strategic partnerships.
• Collaborate directly with selected studios on game ideation, prototyping, and iterative development, guiding titles from early concept through global launch.
• Fully own the end-to-end publishing lifecycle for multiple mobile games, including soft launch, global launch, live operations, and scaling strategies.
• Lead product strategy and roadmap definition for your portfolio of titles, making data-informed decisions to maximize performance and user retention.
• Assume P&L ownership for all published titles in South Korea, with direct accountability for revenue generation and growth metrics.
• Launch multiple games per year, leveraging market insights, player behavior data, and product intuition to optimize monetization and engagement.
• Drive publishing strategy decisions with autonomy, influencing global product direction based on local market dynamics and competitive intelligence.
• Operate independently in Seoul or Busan with a strong expectation of on-the-ground presence to engage with studios, attend industry events, and build local credibility.
• Coordinate remotely with global teams in publishing, product, and analytics while maintaining full ownership of local execution and outcomes.
• Receive initial local support to navigate the ecosystem but function as a senior, autonomous leader responsible for establishing Voodoo’s footprint in South Korea.
• Commit to a minimum two-year tenure to ensure sustained development and scaling of the South Korean publishing operation.
• Balance independent decision-making with alignment to global standards, ensuring local adaptations enhance global game performance without compromising brand integrity.
• Utilize analytical rigor and strategic intuition to identify high-potential game concepts and studios with scalable global potential.
• Represent Voodoo’s brand and values in all local interactions, reinforcing the company’s reputation for data-driven publishing and product excellence.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment such as top-tier management consulting, investment banking, leading tech companies (e.g., Amazon, Google), or high-performing startups in gaming or consumer tech
• Strong track record of independent ownership and decision-making
• Deep passion for the gaming industry, mobile games, and consumer products
• Fluency in both English and Korean
• Ability to build a business from scratch in a new market
• Willingness to commit at least two years to building the South Korean publishing operation
