- • Sell IT solutions and services to public sector customers within an assigned territory through inside sales methods.
- • Conduct cold calling and prospecting to identify and develop new business opportunities in the public sector.
- • Build and maintain customer relationships via phone and email with medium to large public sector organizations.
- • Assist customers in selecting, deploying, and managing their IT environments by understanding their specific needs and challenges.
- • Address client concerns and provide tailored recommendations to help customers achieve their operational and technological objectives.
- • Quote and process orders based on customer requests, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
- • Grow existing customer accounts by managing the full sales cycle, from initial contact to post-sale support and upselling.
- • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales production quotas as defined by company targets.
- • Proactively schedule and facilitate customer meetings with internal SHI resources, including technical specialists and solution architects.
- • Collaborate with internal teams to co-sell solutions and resolve complex customer inquiries related to IT infrastructure and services.
- • Acquire and manage the IT procurement needs of public sector clients, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.
- • Maintain organized records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline progress using company systems.
- • Demonstrate consultative sales behavior by listening to customer needs and aligning SHI’s offerings to their goals.
- • Provide responsive and courteous customer service throughout the sales process and beyond.
- • Adapt to changing priorities, customer demands, and internal processes with flexibility and professionalism.
- • Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain consistent outreach to prospects and clients.
- • Continuously seek opportunities to learn new IT products, services, and public sector procurement trends.
- • Travel up to 10% of the time to meet with clients in-market as required.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- • Minimum 2 years of Customer Service and/or Inside Sales experience
- • Ability to cold call and create new business opportunities
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools
- • Willingness to travel up to 10% for in-market client meetings
