- • Provide practical, day-to-day Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) support across field service, sales, and business support operations in Northern UK.
- • Ensure full compliance with UK EHS legislation, company standards, and contractual obligations across multiple operational sites.
- • Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and audits to assess safety performance and ensure timely closure of identified actions.
- • Collaborate directly with operational teams to identify workplace hazards and implement effective, on-the-ground control measures.
- • Support the rollout and consistent application of EHS initiatives and standards across depots, service locations, and project sites.
- • Promote a strong safety culture by engaging employees, encouraging safe behaviors, and delivering practical EHS messaging.
- • Participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and recommend preventative actions to reduce recurrence.
- • Assist in the development, review, and approval of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for operational activities.
- • Deliver EHS training sessions and toolbox talks to enhance workforce awareness and compliance.
- • Manage subcontractor safety by conducting prequalification reviews and monitoring on-site safety performance.
- • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within internal EHS reporting systems to support audits and regulatory requirements.
- • Contribute to EHS certification processes and compliance documentation for operational sites.
- • Work within a matrix organisation to support diverse teams across multiple locations in Northern UK.
- • Travel regularly to visit field service depots, construction sites, and operational locations throughout Northern UK.
- • Communicate EHS requirements clearly and effectively to non-specialist staff to drive understanding and adoption.
🎯 Requirements
- • NEBOSH General Certificate
- • Proven hands-on experience in Health & Safety across multiple sites in construction, field service, engineering, or manufacturing environments
- • Strong working knowledge of UK EHS regulations and standards, particularly in building services or field-based operations
- • Full UK driving licence
- • Willingness to travel regularly across Northern UK to visit multiple sites and depot locations
- • Experience working directly with operational and depot-based teams to provide practical EHS support
