- • Embark on a crucial role as a Junior Quality Assurance Tester (Jr QA Tester) at ICF International, Inc., where you will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of software quality. This remote position within the United States offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects, working collaboratively with experienced Associate and Senior testers to refine and execute comprehensive test scripts. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the meticulous creation of test scripts, ensuring that every user story meets stringent quality benchmarks before deployment.
- • You will play a vital part in the testing lifecycle by providing detailed and accurate documentation of testing results for all stories and features. This involves not only identifying defects but also clearly articulating the outcomes of your testing efforts to both the QA team and the broader development team. A key aspect of this role is the ability to effectively communicate these findings, bridging the gap between technical execution and project requirements.
- • As you grow in this position, you will gain increasing ownership, eventually authoring User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts. This progression signifies a deepening understanding of client needs and the ability to translate them into actionable testing scenarios. You will also actively participate in UAT preparation and troubleshooting, ensuring a smooth and successful validation process from the user's perspective.
- • Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work closely with the development team and clients to gain a thorough understanding of application functionality. This involves not just testing but also demonstrating functionality to users, providing them with insights into how the software performs and meets their needs. Your ability to explain complex technical details in an accessible manner will be highly valued.
- • Operating within an agile framework, you will be a key contributor to a cross-functional team. This includes working alongside other quality assurance testers, business analysts, developers, the training team, and the product owner. Your input will be essential in ensuring that all solutions not only meet client needs but also adhere to the highest quality standards, contributing to the overall success of the project.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to testing integrations, ensuring that different components of the system work seamlessly together. You will also provide support to Associate and Senior QAs as needed, fostering a team-oriented environment where knowledge and support are readily shared. This dynamic role requires adaptability and a willingness to contribute wherever your skills are most needed.
- • The role demands a proactive approach to understanding end-state functionality before work enters a sprint. This foresight is critical for effective test planning and execution, minimizing potential issues and ensuring that development efforts are aligned with project goals. Your ability to anticipate challenges and plan accordingly will be a significant asset.
- • This position is fully remote within the United States, requiring you to perform your duties from a U.S. location. ICF strictly monitors employee work locations and prohibits access from foreign locations or personal VPN connections, ensuring compliance with federal contract requirements. Core work hours are 9 am to 5 pm Eastern Time, providing a structured yet flexible work environment.
- • By joining ICF, you will become part of a global advisory and technology services provider dedicated to helping clients solve complex challenges. You will be empowered to share your expertise, collaborate with talented professionals, and contribute to a workplace that values diversity and inclusion. ICF is committed to fostering an environment where everyone can thrive and achieve their personal and professional goals.
