As a Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation of commercial refrigeration systems for foodservice and retail clients across Houston, TX. Your expertise directly supports business continuity for supermarkets, restaurants, and cold storage facilities by maintaining optimal temperature control and preventing costly downtime.
- • Day to day, you will service and maintain supermarket and commercial refrigeration systems including walk-ins, freezers, reach-ins, and rack units; perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues independently; follow safety protocols and industry standards; provide excellent customer service including on-call support; and keep accurate service records while supporting additional service areas as needed.
- • You will be part of RWC, a division of Smart Care, a national leader in commercial foodservice, refrigeration, and cold storage equipment repair and service. Smart Care provides comprehensive mechanical services including hot side cooking equipment, stand-alone refrigeration, specialty coffee and beverage systems, complex rack refrigeration, and HVAC solutions. 🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of commercial HVAC/refrigeration experience
- • Strong diagnostic and repair skills
- • Technical training (apprenticeship, trade school, or equivalent experience)
- • Valid driver’s license and clean record
- • EPA certification required
