- • The Regional Medical Scientific Director is a credentialed therapeutic and disease expert who engages in bidirectional exchange of scientific or medical information with Scientific Leaders (SLs) in Northern California, providing balanced, factual, scientific information about non-product areas of interest and responding to scientific questions from SLs, including questions about Company products.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing professional relationships with national and regional SLs, conducting peer-to-peer scientific discussions, maintaining current knowledge of the dynamic scientific and clinical environment in ophthalmology, initiating discussions with SLs and potential investigators regarding research alignment, recommending study sites and identifying investigators for clinical trials, engaging in scientific congresses, and gathering feedback to inform company understanding of medical or scientific needs.
