📋 Description

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Java Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Roller Gaming, a leading provider of professional services and next-generation native applications for the iGaming, iGambling, Sportsbetting, and iLottery domains. You will be instrumental in developing and enhancing robust, high-transaction, large-scale websites and services that power global leaders in the online betting and gaming industries. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge solutions for industry-leading partners, particularly within the lottery sector, who are renowned for their innovative thinking and revenue-generating games and services.
• As a Java Software Engineer, you will be deeply involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from initial design and implementation to rigorous code review. Your primary focus will be on developing new features and functionalities, ensuring that our solutions are not only performant but also scalable, modular, and portable. You will be working within a service-oriented or microservices architecture, a critical component for handling high volumes of transactions and ensuring the resilience of our platforms.
• A key aspect of this role involves actively participating in the design and implementation of full-stack, end-to-end solutions. This means you'll have a hand in shaping how our applications function from the user interface down to the database. You will be expected to write clean, readable, and reusable code, adhering strictly to deadlines and the agile methodology. This requires excellent organizational and prioritization skills to ensure timely project delivery without compromising on quality.
• The position demands a proactive approach to creating and maintaining testable code. This includes writing unit tests, integration tests, and potentially end-to-end tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the software. You will collaborate closely with other engineers, QA testers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software that meets and exceeds client expectations.

• You will be working with modern technologies and best practices in software engineering. This includes leveraging frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot, and ensuring efficient data management with Hibernate. Designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs will be a core responsibility, enabling seamless communication between different services and applications. Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL is essential for data persistence and retrieval.
• Furthermore, you will gain valuable experience working with message queues like RabbitMQ or Kafka, which are crucial for asynchronous communication and building resilient, scalable systems. The role also provides exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, along with cloud environments like AWS, which are fundamental to modern software deployment and management.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record for successful completed projects, experienced in Enterprise Java Software Development in a service-oriented or microservice architecture.
• 4+ years of experience in back-end programming and related frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate).
• Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with Relational Databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with message queues - RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar.
• Experience in Version Control Systems, specifically Bitbucket, GIT.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Bulgarian language and ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
