Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC)

📋 Description

• • Serve as the Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in support of advanced aerial logistics and UAS operations across the United States.
• • Operate drones in compliance with FAA Part 107 regulations and all applicable federal, state, and local aviation laws.
• • Plan, coordinate, and execute flight missions for commercial drone operations including aerial data collection, delivery logistics, and infrastructure inspection.
• • Conduct pre-flight inspections of UAS equipment, including drones, payloads, ground control stations, and communication systems to ensure airworthiness and mission readiness.
• • Maintain accurate flight logs, mission reports, and operational documentation for each UAS mission conducted.
• • Collaborate with operations teams to optimize flight paths, mission timing, and payload configurations for efficiency and safety.
• • Respond to real-time weather, airspace, and environmental changes during flight operations to ensure safe and compliant mission execution.
• • Participate in training sessions and operational briefings to stay current on evolving UAS technologies, regulatory updates, and company-specific protocols.
• • Maintain situational awareness of controlled and restricted airspace, including NOTAMs, TFRs, and temporary flight restrictions.
• • Ensure all drone operations adhere to TSMG’s safety standards and risk mitigation procedures.
• • Communicate effectively with ground crews, clients, and regulatory authorities during mission deployment and post-flight debriefs.
• • Troubleshoot technical issues with drone systems in the field and perform basic maintenance or coordinate repairs as needed.
• • Support the expansion of TSMG’s talent network by contributing to operational best practices and participating in pilot recruitment and onboarding efforts.
• • Adhere to strict data security and privacy protocols when handling sensitive aerial imagery or operational data collected during missions.
• • Be available for on-call or scheduled missions across multiple U.S. locations as program needs arise.
• • Maintain a valid FAA Remote Pilot Certificate with a current medical certification or waiver as required.
• • Demonstrate professional conduct and reliability in high-stakes, time-sensitive operational environments.
• • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability for mission outcomes and regulatory compliance.
• • Represent TSMG professionally in all interactions with clients, regulators, and partners during field operations.
