• • In this role, you will be at the heart of our engineering efforts, tackling complex systems and contributing to the evolution of our large, long-lived codebase. This is not just about building new features; it's about refining, optimizing, and ensuring the robustness and scalability of our existing architecture under real-world business constraints. • • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Success. • • As a Senior Backend Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend services. You will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our platform, focusing on areas such as data integrity, system performance, and security.
• • You will dive deep into our existing Python and Django codebase, leveraging your expert-level knowledge to enhance its functionality and maintainability. This includes a thorough understanding of the Django Core and Django REST Framework, from the intricacies of the request-response lifecycle to the judicious application of tools like signals.
• • A significant part of your role will involve working with relational databases at scale. You will apply your deep experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, focusing on advanced indexing strategies, understanding and mitigating locking behavior, and ensuring transactional integrity within our distributed systems.
• • You will leverage your strong practical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), utilizing services such as RDS for database management, SQS for asynchronous task processing (including managing visibility timeouts), and S3 for object storage (optimizing with lifecycle policies). You will also be adept at debugging complex networking issues within AWS VPCs and managing IAM permissions.
