This pivotal role focuses on owning a dedicated portfolio of accounts, orchestrating a seamless, timely, and predictable renewal experience that fosters strong, long-term customer relationships.
- • You will serve as the primary commercial point of contact for your assigned accounts, acting as the bridge between our customers and various internal teams. This requires close, proactive coordination with Customer Support, Finance, Legal, Sales, Customer Success, and Sales Operations to ensure all aspects of the renewal process are managed efficiently and effectively.
- • Your responsibilities encompass comprehensive account management throughout the renewal lifecycle. This includes initiating engagement, conducting thorough account reviews to understand evolving customer needs and value realization, preparing accurate quotes, negotiating commercial terms, and meticulously managing the deal execution through to opportunity close.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves maintaining the internal health of your accounts and ensuring ongoing account hygiene within Salesforce (SFDC). A strong emphasis will be placed on data quality, the standardization of legacy contracts to promote scalability, and the development and implementation of efficient, scalable processes.
- • The ideal candidate will be comfortable leveraging data, including working with APIs and product usage metrics, to gain a deep understanding of each customer's unique use case and configuration. You will be motivated to utilize and pilot AI-driven tools to manage a large customer base efficiently and effectively.
- • Customer Renewal Management:
- • Own and manage a diverse portfolio of renewal opportunities for scale and mid-market SaaS customers, driving an organized, timely, and predictable renewal cadence.
- • Act as the key commercial point of contact for all renewal cycles, fostering strong partnerships with Customer Success and Sales teams to align on customer value, product usage, and potential risks.
- • Conduct proactive internal health checks prior to key renewal milestones. This includes a thorough review of product usage data, existing contract terms, pricing structures, and any outstanding customer issues.
- • Proactively identify potential risks to renewal and uncover expansion opportunities within your assigned book of business. You will be expected to flag these insights to internal stakeholders with clear, actionable recommendations.
- • Contract & Commercial Operations:
- • Meticulously manage all renewal opportunities within Salesforce (SFDC), ensuring accurate tracking of opportunity stages, close dates, and forecast amounts.
- • Maintain exceptional data hygiene within SFDC, ensuring all required fields are complete, contact roles are accurate, and detailed notes are consistently logged to support robust reporting and provide executive visibility.
- • Support the creation of accurate quotes and order forms using our CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) tool or other relevant quoting software, ensuring strict adherence to pricing, discount, and approval policies.
- • Collaborate closely with the Legal Deal Desk to standardize and streamline legacy contracts. The goal is to transition towards scalable, template-driven agreements while consistently preserving a positive customer experience.
- • Prepare and route agreements for execution via DocuSign or similar e-signature platforms, diligently tracking status to ensure timely completion and minimize delays.
- • Customer & Vendor Review Support:
- • Serve as a primary point of contact for renewal-related customer questionnaires. This includes, but is not limited to, vendor risk and security reviews, commercial and product-specific questionnaires, and procurement forms.
- • Work collaboratively with Security, Legal, and other internal subject matter experts to compile accurate and timely responses that are critical for successful vendor assessments and the securing of renewals.
- • Product & Data Understanding:
- • Develop a solid working understanding of customer configurations, APIs, and data flows to effectively interpret basic product usage and API metrics.
- • Identify key trends and anomalies within customer data that are relevant to renewal strategy and risk assessment.
- • Leverage data insights to prioritize customer outreach, accurately assess account health, and inform the development of compelling renewal proposals.
- • Partner with Product, RevOps, and Customer Success teams to translate complex product usage patterns into clear, concise business narratives that resonate with customers.
- • Scale, Standardization & AI-Driven Process:
- • Actively explore and pilot AI-driven tools and workflows designed to manage the renewal base at scale. This may include areas such as automated renewal health summaries, intelligent outreach templates, contract comparison tools, or AI-powered playbook recommendations.
- • Employ creativity and strong communication skills to guide customers from bespoke, legacy arrangements towards more standardized and scalable contracts, where it aligns with their business needs and our operational goals.
- • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- • Foster close collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, Deal Desk, Legal, RevOps, Finance, and Product teams to identify and remove friction points in the renewal process, thereby enhancing the overall customer experience.
- • Provide structured, data-backed feedback on pricing, packaging, and product adoption patterns observed within your book of business to inform strategic decisions.
- • Actively participate in the testing and Quality Assurance (QA) of new tools, workflows, and processes that impact customer renewals, ensuring they are practical, user-friendly, and aligned with field requirements.
- • Contribute valuable insights to forecast reviews and pipeline discussions, bringing data-backed perspectives on renewal likelihood, identified risks, and key influencing drivers.
