- • The Research Administrator plays a vital role in the sponsor project life cycle, ensuring research proposals adhere to sponsor guidelines and are successfully submitted, supporting faculty and staff throughout pre-award and post-award stages of sponsored projects.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing proposal and grant administration, overseeing budgeting and compliance, coordinating with post-award units, managing subawards, preparing financial reports, and supporting research center grants and special projects as assigned.
- • Washington University in St. Louis Department of Medicine is a research-intensive environment dedicated to advancing medical science through sponsored projects, where the Research Administrator serves as a key liaison between faculty, department administrators, and sponsored programs offices.
- • In this role, the individual will develop expertise in federal and university research regulations, gain proficiency in systems like SUBS and Workday, enhance financial and compliance management skills, and contribute to the successful execution of complex research initiatives while supporting senior leadership with special projects.
