Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Be the catalyst that frees police officers, firefighters, and control-room staff from mountains of paperwork so they can focus on saving lives. As our RPA Consultant for Emergency Services you will sit at the intersection of cutting-edge automation technology and the high-stakes world of public safety, translating urgent operational pain points into elegant, secure, and resilient digital solutions.
- • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of automation programmes for police, fire, and rescue clients—from the first discovery workshop in a bustling control room to the moment a bot quietly processes 10,000 incident reports overnight without a single error.
- • Run immersive discovery sessions with frontline teams who dispatch ambulances at 2 a.m., detectives logging evidence after a major incident, and back-office staff juggling freedom-of-information requests. Translate their raw, high-pressure workflows into detailed process maps, value cases, and automation backlogs that prioritise life-saving impact over everything else.
- • Architect and build unattended and attended bots using Power Automate, UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere, whichever best fits the legacy crime, command-and-control, or HR systems already in use. Embed AI services such as Azure Cognitive Services, AWS Textract, or open-source LLMs to read handwritten witness statements, auto-classify 999 call transcripts, or triage social-media risk alerts.
- • Design reusable automation components—think "evidence-logging accelerator" or "control-room shift-handover bot"—so every new force benefits from the last deployment. Store, version, and continuously deploy these assets via GitHub, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Copilot, ensuring peer review and rapid rollback in a sector where downtime can literally cost lives.
- • Guarantee bullet-proof compliance: map every keystroke to CJIS, GDPR, and local policing data-handling policies; embed tamper-proof audit trails; and run penetration tests that satisfy both cyber-security teams and Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary.
- • Provide 24×7 hyper-care for the first 30 days after go-live, then transition to proactive monitoring using dashboards that alert you if a bot processing missing-person reports stalls at 3 a.m. on a bank holiday.
- • Support change management in organisations where culture is shaped by rank structure and decades of tradition. Deliver bite-sized training videos that a duty sergeant can watch between shifts and run floor-walking sessions that turn sceptical constables into automation champions.
- • Collaborate with Delivery Managers to produce sprint plans, RAID logs, and stage-gate documentation that satisfy both Agile purists and the strict governance boards common in public-sector frameworks like G-Cloud or DOS.
- • Feed lessons learned back into pre-sales: craft compelling demos for the next police commissioner who wants to see how a digital employee can cut overtime costs without cutting frontline presence.
- • Stay ahead of the curve—experiment with GPT-powered chatbots that answer routine “have you found my bike?” queries, or computer-vision models that scan body-worn-camera footage for redacted evidence. Share findings through lunch-and-learns and white-papers that position Necsws as the undisputed leader in emergency-services automation.
