- • The role is for a Rust Engineer at SIG Sauer, Inc., contributing to the development of high-performance, decentralized systems within the Ethereum ecosystem, specifically working on Lighthouse and Anchor, two prominent Rust-based blockchain clients.
- • Day to day, the engineer will evolve block-building and MEV-related systems, optimize Rust code for latency and performance, analyze transaction execution mechanics, and work across Layer 2 solutions while engaging with mempool dynamics, builder strategies, and private orderflow.
- • The team at Sigma Prime (a boutique information security firm) consists of developers, researchers, and security engineers focused on blockchain security and decentralized infrastructure, with a strong track record in Ethereum 2.0 client development since 2015.
- • The person can deepen expertise in high-performance Rust, Ethereum internals, MEV ecosystems, and decentralized systems, positioning themselves as a world-class blockchain engineer through hands-on work on production-grade open-source clients.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience writing high-performance Rust with proficiency in profiling, flamegraphs, allocator choices, async/runtime tuning, lock contention, cache locality, and zero-copy techniques
- • Deep understanding of EVM mechanics including gas accounting, calldata/memory/storage semantics, state access patterns, and opcode/precompile implications
- • Familiarity with the MEV ecosystem end-to-end, including proposer/builder separation, relays, private orderflow, builder strategies, and incentive structures
- • Hands-on experience with MEV searching or building MEV-adjacent systems
- • Knowledge of transaction supply chain dynamics such as mempool behavior, propagation latency, private RPCs, and orderflow providers
- • Passion for Ethereum, proof-of-stake blockchains, and decentralized systems
