• • Join O’Reilly Media as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) and become the first point of contact for thousands of learners and organizations across Australia who rely on our platform to stay ahead in technology, business, and innovation.
• • Own the top-of-funnel for the ANZ market: you will research, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities within mid-market and enterprise accounts across finance, government, healthcare, and high-tech sectors.
• • Master the O’Reilly Learning platform—live online training, interactive labs, certification paths, books, videos, and expert playlists—so you can articulate exactly how our content solves critical up-skilling and talent-retention challenges.
• • Run high-volume, high-quality outreach campaigns (email, phone, LinkedIn, video, and social) that average 60–80 personalised touches per day, converting cold leads into qualified meetings for our Account Executives.
• • Build and maintain a pristine Salesforce instance: every lead, contact, and activity will be logged, tagged, and scored so that marketing and sales leadership can forecast pipeline with confidence.
• • Collaborate daily with marketing to launch region-specific ABM plays, webinars, and field events; you will source attendees, follow up in real time, and turn post-event buzz into booked revenue.
• • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly quotas for qualified opportunities (SQLs) and pipeline value; top SDRs consistently deliver $1.5M+ in influenced ARR within their first 12 months.
• • Listen to recorded discovery calls and read win-loss reports to refine your pitch; you will iterate messaging weekly based on market feedback, competitive intel, and new product releases.
• • Champion the voice of the Australian customer back to product, content, and curriculum teams—your insights will directly influence which expert-led courses and certification tracks we prioritise next.
• • Embrace a culture of continuous learning: every employee receives a full O’Reilly Learning subscription, and you are expected to complete at least one new course per month to stay sharp on sales methodology, industry trends, and emerging tech.
• • Work remotely from anywhere in Australia while staying tightly connected to a global team across Boston, Sebastopol, London, and Singapore; we run daily stand-ups, weekly deal clinics, and monthly “Win Wire” celebrations over Zoom.
• • Progress rapidly—our SDR-to-AE promotion path is transparent and merit-based; over 60 % of current Account Executives at O’Reilly started in the SDR role and hit quota within two quarters of promotion.
