As we embark on a significant scaling phase, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in guiding our clients to fully unlock and realize the immense potential of our advanced platform.
  • • In this critical Sales Director position, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of Cytora's groundbreaking Risk Digitization platform across the UK and European insurance, reinsurance, and brokerage markets. You will manage the entire enterprise sales cycle, from initial prospecting and in-depth discovery to the meticulous planning and execution of Proof of Concept (POC) evaluations, ultimately leading to successful deal closures. This role is focused on acquiring new logos and expanding our footprint within existing accounts, operating as an individual contributor with a high degree of autonomy and minimal supervision.

  • • Your core responsibilities will encompass running full-cycle enterprise sales engagements. This includes identifying and engaging potential clients, conducting thorough discovery sessions to understand their unique challenges and opportunities, and translating these insights into a structured, time-bound POC plan. This plan will clearly define success criteria, required datasets and documents, key user roles, critical checkpoints, and defined exit criteria to ensure evaluations remain focused on driving towards a decisive outcome.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves systematizing our early-stage sales motions. You will be instrumental in capturing what works, codifying repeatable steps, and contributing to the scaling of our Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy. This requires a proactive approach to process improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • • You will be adept at multithreading senior relationships within client organizations, engaging with key stakeholders such as Chief Underwriting Officers (CUOs), Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Heads of Operations, and IT leadership. A critical skill will be your ability to articulate complex technical concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), data flows, and APIs, and translate them into tangible business value propositions that resonate with both executive leadership and working teams.
  • • To ensure client success and drive deals forward, you will captain a team of cross-functional partners. This includes collaborating closely with Sales, Solutions Consulting, Product Management, Security, and Legal teams to proactively identify and remove blockers, maintain project momentum, and ensure a seamless client experience.
  • • Maintaining disciplined pipeline hygiene and accurate forecasting is paramount. You will be expected to meticulously manage all required tools, including Salesforce CRM, and adhere to both Applied's Solution Selling methodology and Cytora's established evaluation POC playbook. This role requires a willingness to travel as needed to conduct client discovery sessions, workshops, POCs, and key checkpoints, ensuring face-to-face engagement where most impactful.
  • • We are particularly excited to learn about candidates who possess proven experience in enterprise sales, specifically within the insurance and insurtech sectors. Experience selling enterprise SaaS solutions to large carriers and brokers, managing multi-stakeholder, long-cycle deals, is highly valued.
  • • An ownership mentality is crucial; you will be expected to lead end-to-end sales processes, conduct first-touch demos, and effectively manage POCs. A genuine curiosity about AI, coupled with crisp and clear communication skills, will enable you to explain complex technologies like LLMs, data flows, and APIs, translating them into compelling business value for underwriting operations and executive decision-makers.
  • • The role requires a willingness to travel frequently for client meetings, typically involving 1-2 days per week in London, with occasional international travel to support key client engagements across Europe.

  • • Proven experience in enterprise sales, specifically within the insurance or insurtech industry, with a track record of selling enterprise SaaS solutions to large carriers and brokers.
  • • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder, long-cycle sales processes from prospecting to close.
  • • Strong understanding of AI and Generative AI concepts (LLMs, data flows, APIs) and the ability to translate technical features into tangible business value for insurance operations.
  • • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence senior-level executives.
  • • Self-motivated with a strong ownership mentality, capable of running end-to-end sales cycles, including demos and POCs, with minimal supervision.
  • • Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings, including regular travel to London and occasional international travel.
