  • • As a Technical Architect (Salesforce) at Gem.com, Inc., you will be at the forefront of designing and driving a scalable, visionary, and strategic Salesforce architecture for our diverse clientele. This leadership role demands a unique blend of profound technical acumen and exceptional consulting prowess, enabling you to partner intimately with both business and technology stakeholders to ensure that the technical roadmap directly translates into tangible, desired business outcomes. Your primary focus will be on problem-solving and leading complex technical projects within the dynamic Salesforce ecosystem, redefining how technical architecture is delivered by digging deep to uncover and resolve customer challenges.
  • • You will assume end-to-end responsibility for the technical design of solutions, including critical technology selections, robust integration strategies, and the definition of effective development methodologies. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in governing the execution of all development work, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural integrity.
  • • A core aspect of your role will be to serve as the primary Technical Leader for customer engagements, guiding them from the initial concept and discovery phases all the way through to post-implementation support. This involves meticulously translating complex business requirements into elegantly architected solutions that maximize the potential of the Salesforce platforms and products.
  • • You will be tasked with defining the overarching system architecture, identifying and bridging any gaps between the current state and the desired future state to deliver comprehensive and impactful CRM solutions. This requires a forward-thinking approach to anticipate future needs and ensure long-term scalability and maintainability.
  • • Accurately forecasting detailed estimates for proposed solutions will be crucial, alongside the ability to clearly articulate the benefits, potential risks, and feasibility of various functional and technical approaches. This ensures transparency and informed decision-making for our clients.
  • • You will be responsible for creating detailed diagrams, drafting comprehensive design documentation, and employing industry best practices to lead the technical aspects of implementation and optimization projects. This includes providing clear direction and oversight to development teams.
  • • Overseeing the development team is a key responsibility, ensuring that the implemented system not only meets but exceeds client expectations. This involves ensuring rigorous testing protocols are followed and continuous performance monitoring is in place to guarantee optimal system operation.
  • • Collaboration with offshore and nearshore resources will be essential. You will conduct thorough code reviews, uphold stringent coding standards, and provide clear clarifications on design decisions to ensure consistency and quality across distributed teams.
  • • You will play a vital role in defining and enforcing robust coding and documentation standards across Thunder, contributing to the overall technical excellence of the organization.
  • • Staying abreast of the latest Salesforce product releases, new features, and evolving technical capabilities is paramount. Continuous learning and adaptation are expected to maintain a competitive edge and provide cutting-edge solutions.
  • • You will actively support sales efforts by providing accurate and detailed estimations of the technical level of effort required for prospective projects, contributing to the company's business development success.
  • • Demonstrating your expertise will be encouraged through various channels, including writing insightful blog posts, engaging in public speaking opportunities, and delivering compelling client presentations, positioning yourself and Gem.com as thought leaders in the Salesforce space.
  • • Your technical skill set should encompass a deep understanding of system design and architecture, proficiency in Lightning Component development, expert-level definition of Flows, comprehensive Salesforce configuration, robust Apex class development, and seamless API integration. You should be an expert in custom and managed-package API integrations, including both RESTful and SOAP services, and possess proven implementation experience using Salesforce Integration Patterns.
  • • Expertise in data modeling and handling complex data migrations is essential, ensuring data integrity and smooth transitions for our clients. You will also be expected to maintain active Salesforce certifications and demonstrate a willingness to pursue and achieve additional certifications in emerging technologies to further enhance your expertise and value.
  • • You will be instrumental in translating business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platforms and products, ensuring that technology directly supports and drives business objectives. This role is about more than just technical implementation; it's about strategic partnership and delivering transformative business value through expertly crafted Salesforce solutions.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7-10 years of technical or consulting experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, specifically in a role such as an architect, solution engineer, IT consultant, or developer in a customer-facing capacity.

  • • Proven expertise in Service Cloud, Mulesoft, RCA, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and AWS Amazon Connect.

  • • Expertise in custom and managed-package API integrations, Salesforce Integration Patterns, data modeling, and complex data migrations.
  • • Active Salesforce certifications, with a strong preference for Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, Sharing and Visibility Architect, and Data Architect certifications. Willingness to achieve additional certifications on emerging technologies is highly valued.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employer-Paid Life and Disability Insurance.
  • • Stock options in a fast-moving, high-growth company, offering a tangible stake in our success.
  • • Real opportunities for career growth through mentorship, certifications, and hands-on experience with cutting-edge Salesforce and Amazon technologies.
  • • Freedom of remote work, flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) with a minimum of 2 weeks, and generous leave policies.
