- • Own the end-to-end health, performance and evolution of mission-critical SAP landscapes for global enterprise clients. You will monitor, tune and harden the entire stack—from OS and DB layer through application servers—ensuring 24×7 availability, security and compliance.
- • Lead complex release-upgrade and enhancement-package projects for both ABAP and Java stacks, orchestrating technical cut-overs, dual-stack split-offs, Unicode conversions and OS/DB migrations with minimal business downtime. You will author detailed run-books, coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as the single point of accountability for go-live success.
- • Architect and execute SAP HANA migrations and S/4HANA conversions, sizing memory and CPU requirements, designing high-availability and disaster-recovery strategies, and automating post-migration validation tests. Your blueprints will directly influence customers’ five-year TCO and scalability roadmaps.
- • Provide expert 2nd and 3rd-level support, diving deep into dumps, traces and kernel logs to resolve performance bottlenecks, locking issues and memory leaks. You will establish KPI-driven service-level agreements and continuously refine monitoring dashboards to prevent incidents before they occur.
- • Drive root-cause analysis and problem management, documenting known-error databases and feeding lessons learned into preventive-maintenance cycles. You will mentor junior administrators and share best-practice playbooks across the global Nagarro SAP community.
- • Act as a trusted advisor during pre-sales cycles, translating business pain points into technical architectures and effort estimates. You will craft compelling proposals, present proof-of-concepts and help close multi-year platform-services deals.
- • Automate repetitive Basis tasks via Ansible, Python or SAP Solution Manager, reducing manual effort and human error. You will champion DevOps and CI/CD for SAP, integrating transports, code quality gates and automated regression tests into customer pipelines.
- • Continuously scan SAP security notes, implement patches and conduct vulnerability assessments to keep systems SOX, GDPR and PCI compliant. You will design role-based authorizations and interface with internal audit teams to maintain zero-non-compliance records.
- • Collaborate with cloud architects to lift-and-shift or re-platform SAP estates onto AWS, Azure or GCP, leveraging HANA Large Instances, NetApp volumes and native backup services. You will optimize licensing, right-size instances and negotiate reserved-capacity discounts.
- • Contribute to Nagarro’s Center of Excellence by publishing whitepapers, hosting webinars and maintaining an internal knowledge wiki. Your thought leadership will shape the next generation of SAP service offerings and influence product roadmaps.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years hands-on SAP Basis administration across multiple operating systems (Linux, Windows, AIX) and databases (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
- • Proven track record of end-to-end SAP upgrades, enhancement packages, Unicode conversions and dual-stack splits
- • Deep expertise in SAP HANA architecture, scale-out, scale-up, high-availability and disaster-recovery design
- • Strong scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Bash) and experience integrating SAP into CI/CD pipelines
- • Nice-to-have: SAP certifications (HANA, S/4HANA, OS/DB Migration), cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP), experience with SAP Solution Manager 7.2 and Focused Run
