• • As a SAP Functional Consultant at Tessera Labs, Inc., you will be at the forefront of enterprise modernization, leveraging cutting-edge AI to transform how businesses operate their core SAP systems. This pivotal role demands a unique blend of deep SAP functional expertise, strategic process consulting, and a forward-thinking approach to automation and integration. You will be instrumental in guiding our clients through complex digital transformations, ensuring their SAP landscapes are not only modernized but also intelligently automated for maximum efficiency and measurable outcomes.
• • Your primary responsibility will involve a comprehensive analysis and meticulous documentation of existing business processes across a wide spectrum of SAP modules. This includes, but is not limited to, FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning), QM (Quality Management), LE (Logistics Execution), and PM (Plant Maintenance). You will also delve into adjacent enterprise systems to gain a holistic understanding of the client's operational ecosystem.
• • You will be tasked with designing innovative solutions that leverage broader SAP components and advanced solutions such as SCM (Supply Chain Management including APO/IBP), TM (Transportation Management), EWM (Extended Warehouse Management), and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management). This involves recommending optimized SAP configurations and functional designs that adhere to clean-core principles and robust enterprise governance frameworks, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• • A significant aspect of this role is leading and supporting SAP S/4HANA migrations. This will require you to expertly map data schemas, translate functional requirements into actionable plans, identify critical gaps in legacy modules or solutions (e.g., transitioning from LE-WM to EWM, or APO to IBP), and play a key role in data harmonization and custom code adaptation to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
• • You will translate complex workshop discussions and detailed business requirements into clear, concise solution designs. These designs will facilitate seamless integration across SAP ERP (both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA), CRM, SCM, and various data platforms, ensuring a unified and efficient enterprise architecture.
• • The role involves designing detailed configuration documents and functional specifications for WRICEF (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms) objects, ensuring all custom development aligns with best practices and business objectives.
• • Beyond SAP, you will collaborate on designing and optimizing end-to-end business processes and cross-system workflows. This encompasses critical value chains such as lead-to-cash, plan-to-fulfill, record-to-report, source-to-pay, and acquire-to-decommission, ensuring seamless integration across ERP, CRM, SCM, and data platforms.
• • You will define and implement robust integration patterns utilizing a variety of technologies including APIs, BAPIs, IDocs, RFCs, events, and middleware solutions, to enable fluid and efficient enterprise processes.
• • Partnering closely with architecture and delivery teams, you will ensure the functional feasibility, scalability, and adherence to governance standards of all proposed solutions.
• • A unique and exciting part of this role is applying Tessera’s proprietary multi-agent AI platform to automate various aspects of the modernization process. This includes automating configuration tasks, business workflows, data migration and harmonization efforts, code remediation, and other functional processes, significantly accelerating transformation timelines.
• • You will act as the crucial bridge between customer business requirements and the technical implementation of the Tessera AI platform, ensuring that the technology directly addresses business needs.
• • You will support the implementation of AI-driven automation within SAP and its adjacent systems, driving efficiency and innovation.
• • Providing expert functional guidance during testing, validation phases, and post-deployment support is essential to guarantee that the implemented solutions deliver the intended business outcomes.
• • You will serve as a trusted functional advisor to clients throughout their enterprise transformation journeys, offering insights and strategic recommendations.
• • Conducting workshops, detailed process discovery sessions, and requirements validation with diverse business stakeholders will be a regular part of your engagement.
• • You will be adept at translating complex technical and functional insights into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders, fostering understanding and buy-in.
• • Travel to customer sites will be required to support solution design, deployment activities, and key project milestones, fostering strong client relationships.
• • You will take ultimate ownership of the functional solution quality, ensuring it perfectly aligns with business requirements and adheres to stringent enterprise governance standards.
• • Contributing to the development and refinement of internal best practices for SAP functional consulting and process modernization will be highly valued.
