• • As a Senior SAP SD MM Consultant at Tessera Labs, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, implementing, and automating critical SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM) business processes. This role demands a blend of deep SAP configuration expertise, robust ABAP development capabilities, and a strong understanding of cross-functional integration to drive efficiency and precision in SAP-based operations. You will be instrumental in executing and optimizing core SD and MM functionalities, including Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Delivery, Billing, Inventory Management, Purchasing, and more. A significant aspect of this role involves developing ABAP-based solutions, including custom BAPIs, to automate complex transactions and ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules and external systems.
• • The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in both the business operations and development facets of SAP SD and MM. A proven track record in managing SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations, including hands-on configuration of business processes and validation of ABAP code, is essential. We highly value candidates with cross-module experience, particularly in integrating SD/MM with SAP Production Planning (PP) and Financial Accounting (FI), ensuring end-to-end process integrity.
• • **Key Responsibilities:**
• • **SAP SD MM Business Process Execution & Configuration (35%):** Lead the execution of core SAP SD and MM processes, encompassing Sales Order Management, Delivery Processing, Billing, Invoicing, Returns, Pricing, Purchase Requisition, Purchase Orders, Goods Receipt, and Inventory Management. You will be responsible for configuring critical SAP SD MM modules, including Sales Document Types, Item Categories, Billing Types, Copy Controls, the Condition Technique for pricing, Output Determination, Purchasing Document Types, Release Strategies, Account Determination, and Inventory Valuation methods. A key part of this responsibility involves integrating these processes with SAP FI and CO modules to ensure accurate automatic postings, correct tax determination, and streamlined invoice accounting. You will actively support SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration initiatives, addressing changes in business partner roles, condition contract management, advanced ATP, and embedded analytics. This includes analyzing and optimizing end-to-end business processes to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with business requirements and SAP best practices.
• • **ABAP Development & BAPI Integration (35%):** Develop sophisticated ABAP programs, including custom BAPIs, User Exits, Enhancements, and BADIs, specifically tailored for SAP SD MM processes. You will be tasked with automating key SD MM transactions such as Sales Order Creation (VA01), Delivery Processing (VL01N), Billing Document Creation (VF01), Purchase Order Creation (ME21N), Goods Movements (MB1C, MIGO), and Inventory Transfers. This role requires working extensively with IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and BDCs to facilitate seamless integration and automate financial and logistical transactions. A critical component is optimizing ABAP code for performance, ensuring maintainability, and adhering strictly to SAP best practices and regulatory compliance standards. Your development work will directly contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our clients' SAP environments.
• • **Code Review & Business Process Validation (15%):** Conduct thorough reviews of ABAP code developed by the Data Entry team, focusing on transaction execution for critical processes like invoice processing, journal postings, account clearing, and month-end closing activities. You will provide constructive feedback and necessary corrections to ensure technical accuracy, adherence to SAP standards, and correct implementation of business logic. This responsibility extends to validating the automated SD MM business processes against financial data and system configurations, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of automated operations. Furthermore, you will mentor junior developers and SD MM consultants, sharing your expertise on SAP best practices and ABAP optimization techniques.
• • **SAP S/4HANA Migration & Process Enhancement (15%):** Lead and contribute to SAP SD MM migration projects from ECC to S/4HANA, ensuring a smooth transition of data, configuration, and business adaptation. You will be responsible for performing comprehensive SAP SD MM system testing, including regression testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), for process changes and new functionalities. Support the adoption of S/4HANA innovations, such as advanced shipping and receiving capabilities, and embedded analytics. Collaborate closely with PP, FI, and CO teams to guarantee seamless end-to-end integration across modules. Identify opportunities and implement process automation solutions, leveraging technologies like Robotic Process Automation (RPA), SAP Fiori, and CDS Views, to further optimize finance and logistics workflows within the SAP ecosystem.
