- • Write original scripts, storylines, and dialogues for social media, podcasts, and short-form video content tailored to UK audiences
- • Craft compelling captions, hooks, and copy specifically for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts to maximize engagement and retention
- • Research UK consumer finance, insurance, and money systems to uncover underreported stories, hidden costs, and systemic issues using primary sources
- • Verify all claims, figures, and data against official documents, government publications, and named primary sources to ensure absolute accuracy
- • Collaborate directly with video producers, designers, and the creative team to translate scripts into visually compelling content from concept to final delivery
- • Analyze UK cultural trends, viral formats, and audience behavior to generate fresh, platform-specific content ideas that drive views and shares
- • Adapt tone and narrative style across educational, entertaining, inspirational, and promotional content objectives while maintaining brand consistency
- • Contribute to weekly brainstorming sessions, content calendar planning, and the ideation of new content formats and storytelling approaches
- • Ensure all written output is original, on-brand, factually precise, and aligned with BJAK’s newly established UK brand voice and strategic goals
- • Work autonomously to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality, creativity, and compliance with editorial guidelines
- • Iterate rapidly based on performance metrics and audience feedback to optimize content effectiveness and engagement rates
- • Participate in cross-functional discussions with marketing and product teams to align storytelling with business goals and user needs
- • Maintain a deep understanding of the UK financial landscape, including insurance products, regulatory frameworks, and consumer pain points
- • Own the creative direction of BJAK’s UK content output, shaping how the brand communicates its mission to a British audience
- • Balance speed and precision in a fast-paced environment where testing, learning, and refining content is central to success
🎯 Requirements
- • 1–3 years of experience in scriptwriting, content writing, or related creative fields
- • Excellent writing and storytelling skills for video and social-first content
- • Understanding of social media trends, platforms, and content formats
- • Confident working from primary sources rather than secondhand reporting — able to read and interpret official data accurately
- • Ability to brainstorm, pitch ideas, and turn concepts into polished scripts
- • Portfolio or examples of past creative work (scripts, content, short-form writing)
