- • Secondary Social Studies Teacher for MiaPrep Online Academy of Ohio (MOAO), a fully remote, asynchronous teaching role focused on guiding students through self-paced curriculum, providing feedback, coaching, and academic advising rather than live instruction.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include grading assignments in World and US History, Government, and Economics; hosting weekly virtual office hours and group tutoring; maintaining message boards for student support; serving as Academic Advisor to up to 30 students; identifying struggling students for tiered support; communicating with parents and students; contributing to school policies and extracurricular clubs; and upholding a positive school culture.
- • Miaplaza Inc. is building an accessible and inclusive homeschool curriculum platform through MOAO, which serves grades 7–11 in its first year with plans to grow to over 1,000 students by 2030; the company emphasizes performance-based compensation, equity, and a supportive remote work culture.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in History, Secondary Education, or related field
- • Ohio teaching certification or ability to obtain it
- • At least 3 years of full-time experience teaching high school social studies in the United States
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills
- • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- • Tech-savvy with ability to learn new platforms quickly (e.g., gradebooks, Google Classroom, Google Workspace)
