- • As a Security Engineer at X-Bow Systems Inc., you will play a critical role in securing the company’s autonomous AI-powered pentester platform, cloud infrastructure, and internal systems, directly contributing to the mission of defeating cyber threats before they materialize through innovative offensive security technology.
- • You will partner with engineering, platform, and compliance teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle, ensuring that security is proactive, scalable, and aligned with business velocity in a fast-moving, remote-first startup environment.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing and implementing security controls across AWS and Azure cloud environments, hardening IAM and infrastructure, and improving Kubernetes and container security posture to protect production workloads.
- • You will own product security reviews for new features and architecture changes, drive threat modeling and secure design decisions early in the SDLC, and operate and enhance AppSec workflows including SAST, SCA, secrets scanning, and IaC scanning at scale.
- • You will triage and manage vulnerabilities across applications, containers, and cloud environments using risk-based prioritization and SLAs, define and run the full vulnerability management lifecycle, and improve CNAPP coverage and finding quality for engineering actionability.
- • You will monitor, investigate, and respond to security events and incidents, build automation to streamline security operations and incident response, and support compliance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 by implementing technical controls and documenting scalable security processes and playbooks.
- • You will support IT operations with timezone-aligned coverage for SaaS administration (Okta, Google Workspace, 1Password), onboarding/offboarding workflows, and endpoint security management (MDM, VPN, secure device provisioning) for a fully distributed US-based team.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in security engineering, product security, cloud/platform security, or closely related roles
- • Strong hands-on experience securing cloud environments (AWS and Azure)
- • Hands-on experience with product/application security in engineering environments, including secure design reviews, threat modeling, and code-level risk discussions
- • Experience operating AppSec tooling and processes at scale (SAST, SCA, secrets scanning, IaC scanning)
- • Strong vulnerability triage and remediation management experience, including risk-based prioritization and SLAs
- • Experience with CNAPP (or equivalent cloud security platforms) and tuning findings for engineering actionability
- • Working knowledge of Kubernetes/container security in production systems
- • Ability to partner with developers and platform teams to ship secure defaults without blocking delivery
- • Comfortable writing scripts and automations to improve security reliability and scale
- • Experience in incident response, investigation, and post-incident hardening in cloud-native environments
- • Familiar with SOC 2 requirements and comfortable implementing technical controls to support compliance
