Security Engineer

📋 Description

• • As a Security Engineer at Kong Inc., you will play a key role in protecting the platforms, systems, and services that power Kong’s products and internal operations, ensuring customers can trust Kong to power their most critical workloads.
• • You will design, implement, and improve security controls across cloud infrastructure and internal systems, monitor and respond to security incidents, perform vulnerability management and risk analysis, and build automation for security monitoring and remediation.
• • You will partner closely with Engineering, DevOps, and Platform teams to embed security best practices into development and deployment workflows, improve identity and access management, and support compliance initiatives.
• • You will help define and drive Kong’s long-term security strategy as the company scales globally, gaining experience in securing modern SaaS platforms, distributed systems, and cloud-native environments while working with cutting-edge API and AI infrastructure technologies.
