📋 Description

• As a Security Engineer at Joist AI, you will embed robust security practices into the company's AI-powered platform for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, ensuring sensitive customer data remains protected without slowing down engineering teams through a 'Security by Design' approach.
• You will integrate automated security scanning into CI/CD pipelines, secure cloud infrastructure using IaC, pioneer AI/ML security governance for LLM workloads, build threat detection and incident response systems, partner cross-functionally on threat modeling and architecture reviews, and drive compliance initiatives for enterprise AEC clients.
• Joist AI is a technology company revolutionizing marketing and revenue operations in the AEC industry with AI-powered software that streamlines workflows, enhances collaboration, and supports innovation for teams managing complex projects.
• In this role, you will develop expertise in securing AI/ML systems, cloud-native SaaS environments, and compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001, while influencing security culture and building automated guardrails that scale with the product.

🎯 Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in Security Engineering, Application Security, or DevSecOps with a focus on cloud-native SaaS environments
• Deep expertise in securing large-scale public cloud environments, including cloud networking, threat detection, data encryption, and identity management
• Proficiency in modern scripting languages and experience automating security tasks using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD integration
