📋 Description
- • As a Security Engineer specializing in Detection & Visibility at Celara Labs Inc., you will be instrumental in architecting, developing, and implementing a comprehensive security monitoring and threat detection strategy across our diverse and complex enterprise software ecosystem.
- • Your primary mission is to bridge the critical gap in our current security posture by establishing an end-to-end view of our operational environment, ensuring we have unparalleled insight into potential threats and anomalies.
- • This role is pivotal in transforming raw data and disparate signals into actionable intelligence, enabling proactive defense and rapid response to security incidents.
- • You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and integrating various data sources, including dark web intelligence, external threat feeds, corporate system logs, cloud infrastructure telemetry, user behavior analytics, application error logs, and product-specific anomalies.
- • A key aspect of your work will involve designing and building the foundational visibility layer that underpins our entire security operations, moving beyond reactive measures to a truly proactive security stance.
- • This is a hands-on engineering role where you will not be confined to triaging existing alerts or maintaining pre-built dashboards; instead, you will be the architect and builder of the systems that provide these critical insights.
- • You will define the requirements for data collection, processing, and analysis, ensuring that the right information is captured, enriched, and made accessible for security investigations and strategic decision-making.
- • This includes developing custom detection rules, threat hunting methodologies, and alerting mechanisms tailored to the unique risks and operational landscape of a large-scale enterprise software provider for restaurant chains.
- • You will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to understand the intricacies of our systems, from cloud infrastructure and distributed platforms to on-premise components and the product ecosystem that handles massive volumes of operational data.
- • Your expertise will be crucial in identifying blind spots and developing solutions to gain visibility into previously unmonitored areas, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- • You will be expected to research and stay abreast of emerging threats, attack vectors, and security technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance our detection capabilities.
- • This role requires a deep understanding of security principles, threat modeling, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into robust, scalable security solutions.
- • You will play a key role in shaping the future of Celara Labs' security operations by establishing best practices for security monitoring, data analysis, and incident detection.
- • The impact of your work will be significant, directly contributing to the protection of our company's assets, customer data, and the integrity of the software that powers critical business operations for numerous restaurant chains.
- • You will be empowered to make strategic decisions regarding the tools, technologies, and methodologies employed to achieve our detection and visibility goals.
- • This position offers a unique opportunity to build a security function from the ground up in a dynamic and growing technology company, providing a challenging yet rewarding career path.
- • You will be the primary owner of the visibility layer, responsible for its continuous improvement and effectiveness in identifying and mitigating security risks.
- • This includes developing and implementing strategies for log management, security information and event management (SIEM), security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR), and other relevant security technologies.
- • Your ability to communicate complex security concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential for success.
- • You will be a trusted advisor, briefing leadership and relevant teams on the security posture and emerging threats, ensuring informed decision-making.
- • The role demands a proactive mindset, a passion for solving complex security challenges, and a commitment to building resilient and effective security solutions.
- • You will contribute to a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- • Ultimately, you will be the driving force behind our ability to 'know what's happening' across our entire digital footprint, from the deepest infrastructure layers to the most subtle user behaviors and external threat landscapes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining security detection and monitoring systems, preferably in a cloud-native or hybrid environment.
- • Strong understanding of security principles, threat intelligence, incident response, and common attack vectors across networks, applications, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) for automation, tool development, and data analysis.
- • Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, QRadar) and security data lakes, including data ingestion, rule creation, and query optimization.
- • Familiarity with various data sources for security monitoring, such as network logs, endpoint logs, cloud audit logs, application logs, and threat intelligence feeds.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary and stock options.
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
- • Generous paid time off and holidays.
- • Remote work flexibility.
- • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
