- • The Solana Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Lead to spearhead security initiatives for both the Foundation's internal on-chain program operations and the broader Solana ecosystem. This pivotal role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of blockchain security, particularly within the Solana network, to drive significant improvements in security posture and practices.
- • As the Security Lead, you will be instrumental in defining and executing the security strategy, ensuring that the Solana Foundation adheres to institutional-grade security best practices. This involves not only safeguarding internal operations but also establishing and promoting robust security frameworks, reference architectures, and tooling that can be adopted by the wider Solana ecosystem.
- • A core responsibility will be to develop and socialize open-source security frameworks, providing clear guidance and actionable strategies for developers and projects within the Solana community. Your work will directly contribute to elevating the overall security maturity of the network, making it more resilient against potential threats.
- • You will be tasked with documenting and implementing mitigation strategies for critical security concerns such as secure multi-signature (multisig) setups, supply-chain attacks, and secure release pipelines. The goal is to ensure that all on-chain program operations meet the highest security standards, comparable to those expected in traditional institutional finance.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves external leadership in security. You will be responsible for publishing security guidance, frameworks, and reports that are grounded in real-world data and analysis. This proactive approach aims to educate and empower the ecosystem, fostering a culture of security awareness and best practices.
- • The Security Lead will manage all internal security audits, ensuring continuous readiness and compliance with the stringent security requirements inherent in the on-chain economy. This includes identifying vulnerabilities, coordinating remediation efforts, and maintaining comprehensive audit trails.
- • You will play a key role in developing and executing threat model exercises to proactively identify potential attack vectors and vulnerabilities within the Solana ecosystem. - • This role requires a deep technical background in securing decentralized systems. You will leverage your expertise in low-level network design, state machine security, and smart contract audit governance to build and maintain a secure environment.

🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in a full-time software engineering role.

- • Experience publishing security advisories, frameworks, or public-facing security content.
