📋 Description

• As a Security Operations Manager at Cohere Inc., you will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and partner teams by articulating business risks tied to security issues, playing a critical role in safeguarding the company’s AI-driven enterprise products and infrastructure.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include executing the long-term vision for the Security team, securing cloud infrastructure through architecture reviews and automation, managing identity and access management (IAM), detecting and responding to security threats in real time, minimizing incident impact via rapid containment and recovery, and leading a high-performing team of security engineers through hiring, coaching, and mentorship.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Security Operations or Detection and Response Engineering with a strong focus on cloud security and identity and access management
• Deep understanding of security domains including network security, identity governance, infrastructure security, and external attack surface management, along with industry best practices
• Ability to make informed decisions amid ambiguity and employ a flexible, constructive approach to problem-solving
• Comfort with trade-offs between build vs. buy decisions and the ability to evaluate available tools while building custom solutions
• Strong technical understanding of common security vulnerabilities, risks, countermeasures, and compensating controls
• Skill in articulating problem statements and proposing solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
