  • • As a Security Solutions Architect (SSA) at CDW, you will be at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge security solutions to our diverse customer base. This field-based, pre-sales technical role is pivotal in shaping and implementing robust security strategies that protect our clients' most valuable assets.
  • • You will act as a trusted advisor, providing expert consultative guidance to customers, internal sales teams, and delivery specialists. Your primary objective is to understand customer challenges and architect comprehensive security solutions that not only meet but exceed their expectations, driving significant business growth for CDW's security services.
  • • A key responsibility involves developing tailored assessment and service solutions. This includes designing secure architectures, optimizing existing security infrastructures, conducting technology health checks, and scoping deployment and advisory services that align with specific customer needs and industry best practices.
  • • Collaboration is central to this role. You will work closely with customers to deeply understand their security posture and requirements, partner with internal sales teams to strategize and execute effective sales approaches, and liaise with delivery teams to ensure seamless implementation of proposed solutions.
  • • You will be instrumental in authoring detailed Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with customer objectives and CDW's service delivery standards.
  • • Analyzing technical and competitive landscapes is crucial. You will evaluate various security technologies and market trends to define actions that best meet customer requirements throughout the sales cycle, ensuring CDW remains a leader in providing innovative security solutions.
  • • Maintaining and nurturing strategic relationships with customers, internal sales management, and delivery leadership is paramount. Your ability to build rapport and establish trust will be key to fostering long-term partnerships and driving recurring business.
  • • You will also cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key strategic technology partners, ensuring you are up-to-date with their latest offerings and can effectively leverage them in customer solutions. Maintaining at least three partner technical certifications is a requirement to demonstrate this expertise.
  • • Owning your assigned territory is a core aspect of the role. This involves establishing a regular cadence of engagement with partners and customers, actively participating in territory strategy planning with the sales team, and ensuring CDW's security solutions are prominently featured.
  • • You are expected to be a subject matter expert across multiple families of security products and solutions, with a specific emphasis on Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), and Managed Detection and Response (MDR) technologies from leading vendors such as Palo Alto, Crowdstrike, SentinelOne, and Microsoft Defender.
  • • Furthermore, expertise in endpoint management and patch management solutions from vendors like BigFix and Automox is highly valued.
  • • You will play a vital role in driving outreach initiatives, leading technical enablement projects, and providing coaching and mentorship to fellow SSAs, contributing to the overall growth and expertise of the security solutions team.
  • • Developing and delivering training content for formal training sessions and informal team huddles will be essential to share knowledge and best practices across the organization.
  • • This role requires a motivated, self-starting individual capable of performing high-quality work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • • You will leverage your deep understanding of industry-specific challenges, regulations, and best practices to provide tailored recommendations and effectively position CDW's solutions within the competitive industry landscape.
  • • Your customer-focused approach will involve understanding and articulating customer needs clearly, building strong relationships, and identifying pain points to deliver truly impactful solutions.
  • • Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential for engaging with diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to executive leadership, and for translating complex technical concepts into understandable business value.
  • • The ability to design and communicate comprehensive solutions, build consensus, and solve complex problems by identifying appropriate technologies and strategies is fundamental to success in this role.
  • • You will be expected to travel up to 25% of the time, or as needed, to meet with clients and partners across your territory.
