- • As a Senior Accountant for Coinbase Asset Management (CBAM), you will play a pivotal role in managing the accounting operations for a registered investment advisor and commodity trading advisor, contributing to the growth and integrity of the crypto economy.
- • Your core responsibilities will include overseeing the monthly close process, meticulously performing account reconciliations, and ensuring strict adherence to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
- • You will collaborate closely with the fund controller to accurately record and review management fees charged to funds under management, and to manage expense allocations in strict accordance with established fund agreements.
- • A key aspect of this role involves leading compliance activities, ensuring that CBAM meets all necessary requirements as an SEC registered investment advisor and an NFA registered commodity trading advisor.
- • You will be instrumental in preparing comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial results presentations tailored for CBAM management, providing critical insights into performance and trends.
- • A significant part of your contribution will involve analyzing financial data against key business drivers to proactively identify emerging trends, potential issues, and opportunities for optimization.
- • You will be expected to stay abreast of the latest industry pronouncements, emerging trends, and developments in accounting standards, SEC regulations, NFA regulations, and fund accounting practices.

- • You will be responsible for preparing the annual US GAAP financial statements for CBAM and providing essential support during the annual audit processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- • Partnering with other members of the broader accounting team, you will contribute to the implementation of new accounting standards, changes in accounting policies, and the operationalization of accounting for new or modified financial products.
- • Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures in line with Coinbase's global requirements will be a critical function, including assisting in the design and implementation of new controls and processes.
- • You will play a vital role in ensuring that internal controls specifically related to CBAM are designed, implemented, and operating effectively to meet Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance standards.
- • A continuous improvement mindset is essential, as you will be tasked with streamlining, automating, maintaining, and enhancing existing processes, systems, and internal controls to drive efficiency.
