As a Senior Accountant, Derivatives & Broker Dealer, you will play a pivotal role within the Capital Markets Accounting team, providing the essential accounting foundation for our rapidly expanding Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) and Broker-Dealer operations.
• • This role is critical for supporting new product launches, ensuring stringent regulatory compliance, and driving robust finance and accounting processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders across product, engineering, operations, and legal teams, ensuring seamless integration and accurate financial reporting.
• • Your primary responsibilities will include the timely and accurate submission of all required regulatory reports to agencies such as the CFTC, NFA, and others. This involves meticulous data gathering, analysis, and preparation to meet strict deadlines.
• • You will be deeply involved in all facets of the monthly accounting close activities specifically for the FCM and Broker Dealer entities. This includes preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and adhering to accounting principles.
• • A key part of your role will be driving the preparation of monthly financial statements and contributing to the quarterly and annual financial results reporting. This requires a strong understanding of financial reporting standards and the ability to synthesize complex financial data.
• • You will provide essential support for all internal and external audits pertaining to the registered FCM and Broker Dealer entities. This involves preparing documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring all financial records are well-maintained and compliant.
• • You will actively support the execution and maintenance of internal controls over compliance, regulatory reporting, and accounting policies and procedures. This ensures the integrity and reliability of our financial operations and reporting.
• • Monitoring the entities' daily liquidity and capital requirements is a crucial aspect of this role. You will ensure that the entities maintain adequate liquidity and capital levels in accordance with regulatory and business needs, proactively identifying and addressing any potential shortfalls.
