📋 Description

• As a Senior Agentic AI Software Engineer at Hopper Inc., you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS) platform — a configurable, multi-tenant travel commerce engine that powers travel booking experiences for major global brands including banks, airlines, and fintech leaders. Your work will directly enable partners to launch world-class hotel and travel booking experiences faster and with less custom engineering, contributing to Hopper’s mission of becoming the leading global travel platform.
• You will identify and execute improvements to the codebase to allow AI agents to operate faster and safer, architecting scalable solutions and foundational patterns that support the efficient launch of new travel portals across the HTS ecosystem.
• Working within a small, dynamic team of top-tier engineers in a low-process, high-autonomy environment, you will drive decisions and consensus asynchronously by leveraging AI to author thoughtful documentation and specifications that guide team alignment and execution.
• You will orchestrate AI agents to build new features from end to end — spanning UX to database — shipping fast, learning fast, and repeating, with minimal oversight, while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
• Collaborating directly with product managers and business partners, you will help define and refine the product roadmap, ensuring your technical vision shapes the evolution of Hopper’s B2B travel commerce offerings.
• You will engage with a diverse group of stakeholders, giving and receiving high-level feedback essential for personal and professional growth, while contributing to an entrepreneurial culture where pushing limits and taking risks is encouraged.
• Through your expertise in LLMs and AI-assisted development, you will design and implement technical guardrails and automated feedback loops that maximize the productivity and reliability of AI agents operating within the codebase, setting new benchmarks for engineering velocity.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience training, deploying, and iteratively optimizing large language models (LLMs) to power complex product features in a production environment.
• Expertise in Scala and distributed systems development, with a strong ability to deep dive into unfamiliar codebases while maintaining focus on delivering results quickly.
• Demonstrated ability to direct AI agents and automated workflows to architect, implement, and maintain complex software systems with minimal human intervention.
• Strong product thinking, where your conception of quality and architecture is inherently anchored in the customer experience and travel booking use cases.
• Proficiency in React and TypeScript for frontend development, enabling full-stack contribution to web applications within the HTS platform.
• Experience designing technical guardrails and automated feedback loops that maximize the reliability and safety of AI agents operating within a codebase.
