📋 Description

• DevSavant is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior AI Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on the development and deployment of cutting-edge Agentic AI and Conversational Systems, with a significant emphasis on the healthcare sector.
• In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing and deploying sophisticated Agentic AI systems engineered for autonomous, multi-step task execution. Imagine systems that can seamlessly handle appointment scheduling, verify patient eligibility, automate intake processes, and intelligently route inquiries, all while adhering to the stringent requirements of the healthcare industry.
• Your expertise will be crucial in architecting and optimizing Large Language Model (LLM)-powered conversational agents. You will shape how these agents interact across both voice and digital channels, ensuring they are intuitive, efficient, and highly effective.
• A key aspect of your work will involve developing advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures. These systems will empower contextual, domain-specific healthcare knowledge bases, enabling agents to access and utilize precise information for accurate responses and actions.
• You will be responsible for engineering robust prompt frameworks, implementing critical safety guardrails, and establishing comprehensive evaluation pipelines. This is particularly vital in regulated healthcare environments where accuracy, safety, and compliance are paramount.
• Continuous evaluation and improvement of agent performance, accuracy, and safety will be a core responsibility, driven by structured experimentation, rigorous analytics, and a deep understanding of user interaction.
• Beyond conversational AI, you will architect advanced strategies for IVR modernization and intelligent voice workflows. This involves reimagining traditional Interactive Voice Response systems to be more dynamic, intelligent, and user-centric.
• Optimizing Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) systems to meet healthcare-grade accuracy and reliability standards is a critical component of this role, ensuring clear and dependable communication.
• You will integrate these advanced conversational AI capabilities into enterprise contact center platforms and Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) environments, bridging the gap between AI and existing operational infrastructure.
• Ensuring seamless interoperability with Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is essential. This will involve working with healthcare standards such as FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) and HL7 (Health Level Seven).
• Designing scalable, fault-tolerant architectures that support high-availability healthcare operations will be a key focus, ensuring that our AI solutions are robust and reliable under all conditions.
• Your responsibilities will extend to developing sophisticated Natural Language Processing (NLP) pipelines. These pipelines will be used for tasks such as clinical document summarization, coding support, Protected Health Information (PHI) detection, and structured data extraction, unlocking valuable insights from complex medical texts.
• Architecting HIPAA-compliant AI systems is non-negotiable. This includes implementing secure data handling practices, robust encryption, and strict role-based access controls to protect sensitive patient information.
• You will implement comprehensive monitoring, observability, and analytics frameworks. These tools will be crucial for measuring operational efficiency, tracking key performance indicators, and understanding patient experience outcomes.
• Maintaining strict alignment with evolving healthcare AI regulatory and compliance requirements will be an ongoing and critical duty.
• On the platform and developer enablement front, you will contribute reusable AI templates designed to power no-code and low-code deployment models, democratizing AI capabilities.
• You will build and maintain APIs and SDK integrations, enabling enterprise customers to embed AI capabilities into their existing workflows rapidly and efficiently.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product, solution engineering, and co-creation teams will be vital to accelerate customer time-to-value and ensure successful AI adoption.
• Mentoring junior engineers and defining best practices for deploying Agentic AI in regulated industries will be a key leadership responsibility, fostering a culture of excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Finally, you will provide internal technical leadership on scalable AI architecture and deployment standards, shaping the future of AI at DevSavant and for our clients.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering.
• 3+ years deploying AI solutions within healthcare or other regulated industries.
• Proven experience designing and deploying LLM architectures, including fine-tuning and advanced prompt engineering.
• Hands-on experience with voice automation systems (IVR, ASR, TTS).
• Experience integrating AI systems with enterprise platforms such as EHRs, CRMs, and contact centers.
• Strong Python expertise and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face.
• Experience deploying AI solutions in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong understanding of secure system design and data privacy principles.
• Experience building AI agents capable of autonomous, multi-step workflows.
• Deep knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7).
