📋 Description

• Bloomreach is building the world’s premier agentic platform for personalization, revolutionizing how businesses connect with customers through AI agents that personalize the entire customer journey. As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing autonomous search, conversational shopping, and autonomous marketing—core pillars of Bloomreach’s Loomi AI engine that powers personalization for over 1,400 global brands including American Eagle, Sonepar, and Pandora.
• You will join the Artificial Intelligence team in one of Bloomreach’s Central European offices (Bratislava, Brno, Prague) or work remotely on a full-time basis, becoming a core contributor to the Engineering Team responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining ML-powered features that impact millions of users and drive measurable business value.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include translating business requirements for ML-powered features into technical specifications and design documents, collaborating closely with data scientists to assess technical feasibility and scalability, and defining and developing both back-office API endpoints for feature configuration and high-performance serving endpoints for real-time inference.
• You will develop and implement ML models, algorithms, and data pipelines to support new features, with hands-on experience in areas such as predictions, contextual bandits, autosegmentation, and MLOps, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and deployment into production environments using GKE, VertexAI, and other GCP services.
• You will perform rigorous testing and quality assurance of ML models and code, including unit, integration, and A/B testing, while implementing monitoring systems and dashboards via Grafana and Sentry to track model performance, detect drift, and optimize for accuracy, latency, and resource efficiency in production.
• You will contribute to establishing and refining DevOps and MLOps best practices within the team, including CI/CD pipeline automation, infrastructure-as-code, model versioning, and automated retraining workflows to ensure reliability and reproducibility of ML systems.
• You will maintain end-to-end ownership of ML-powered features, encompassing APIs, model definitions, data pipelines, and serving infrastructure, providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, bug fixes, and enhancements while acting as an L3 support escalation point for client-facing teams investigating production issues.
• You will document code, design decisions, and operational procedures thoroughly to enable knowledge sharing, onboarding, and long-term maintainability, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration across engineering, data science, and product teams.
• You will work with a modern tech stack including Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Spark, MongoDB, Redis, BigQuery, BigTable, GCS, Dataproc, and tools like GitLab, Jira, Productboard, and PagerDuty, applying software architecture principles to build scalable, reliable microservices and APIs in a cloud-native SaaS environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in Python engineering with a strong focus on designing and maintaining AI/ML-powered features in production environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and relevant services for ML development and deployment, including GKE, BigQuery, VertexAI, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of software architecture principles, particularly for building scalable and reliable APIs and microservices.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for efficient development and deployment.
• Familiarity with common ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or similar.
• Experience with data storage and processing technologies including MongoDB, Redis, Spark, and BigQuery.
