📋 Description

• Serve as a Senior AI/ML Engineer specializing in medical imaging to design, develop, and deploy machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions that enhance clinical research workflows and accelerate biopharmaceutical product development.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists, domain experts, software engineers, and product teams to translate complex business requirements into technically sound AI/ML systems for medical imaging applications.
• Lead the end-to-end development of AI models for medical imaging modalities including CT, MRI, PET, and SPECT, encompassing data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, fine-tuning, and post-processing to optimize diagnostic accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and reliability standards in regulated life sciences environments by implementing robust MLOps practices for production deployment of AI models.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and model serving systems using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies to support enterprise-grade integration with clinical research platforms.
• Apply state-of-the-art techniques in deep learning, generative AI, and statistical analysis to solve novel problems in medical image analysis, including segmentation, annotation interpretation, and quantitative image feature extraction.
• Maintain rigorous model evaluation protocols, including accuracy measurement, validation, and performance monitoring to ensure model reliability and reproducibility in clinical contexts.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence within the AI team.
• Stay current with advancements in AI/ML research and evaluate their applicability to real-world medical imaging challenges, contributing to the company’s intellectual property through innovative solutions.
• Publish and present research findings at industry conferences to elevate the organization’s scientific profile and drive adoption of cutting-edge AI methodologies.
• Manage the full lifecycle of AI model deployment, from prototype to production, including model versioning, monitoring, retraining triggers, and performance degradation detection.
• Apply expertise in the DICOM standard for medical image handling, including annotation data parsing, segmentation map processing, and metadata integration across imaging systems.
• Utilize Python and/or C++ for algorithm implementation, with strong proficiency in Git for source code management and collaboration across distributed teams.
• Leverage ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn to build, test, and optimize models tailored to medical imaging datasets and clinical workflows.
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements in AI development workflows, ensuring adherence to GxP-regulated environments and transferable compliance practices.
• Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate complex technical challenges in high-pressure, time-sensitive clinical research environments.
• Maintain up-to-date awareness of emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in AI/ML and life sciences, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and team upskilling.
• Handle production support duties, responding to model performance issues and ensuring system reliability in live clinical research deployments.

🎯 Requirements

• Expertise in Machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies
• Strong background in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
• Strong experience with medical imaging modalities (CT, MRI, PET, or SPECT) and DICOM standard (images, annotations, and segmentation)
• Experience with feature stores and ML data pipelines
• Solid proven experience of working in and knowledge of medical imaging or clinical development in the life sciences industry
