📋 Description

• Direct, edit, and finish 1–2 vertical (9:16) short drama series at a time, each consisting of 10–15 episodes (~1 minute per episode) plus a trailer.
• Own the end-to-end creative production of mini-series, including scriptwriting, character development, pacing, hooks, and cliffhangers with minute-to-minute escalation.
• Work directly with EverAI’s in-house AI copilot for character consistency, casting suggestions, and automated trailer generation.
• Leverage AI video generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, and Seedance to produce content — with training provided to master the proprietary AI stack.
• Collaborate with AI Content Creators, the tech team, other Short Film Directors, and executive leadership to align creative vision with technical capabilities.
• Maintain strict adherence to EverGuard, EverAI’s proprietary AI moderation system, ensuring all content is safe, ethical, and human-first.
• Deliver high-quality, emotionally engaging vertical dramas optimized for AI companionship platforms with global user engagement.
• Iterate rapidly on feedback loops, balancing creative execution with speed, performance, and scalability demands of a fast-moving AI product company.
• Adapt storytelling techniques to the unique constraints and opportunities of AI-generated video, including consistency in character appearance, voice, and narrative tone across episodes.
• Take full ownership of production timelines, ensuring episodes are delivered on schedule without compromising narrative quality or ethical standards.
• Contribute to the evolution of AI-driven storytelling by testing new tools, proposing creative workflows, and refining production pipelines.
• Maintain fluent written and spoken English communication to collaborate effectively with a globally distributed, elite remote team.
• Embrace a doer mindset: prioritize action, ownership, and iterative improvement over perfectionism.
• Remain humble and open to feedback, continuously learning from teammates and evolving your craft within an AI-first environment.
• Participate in annual in-person team gatherings to foster collaboration, brainstorming, and cultural alignment.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years directing or showrunning short-form narrative video
• Strong scripting instincts: proven ability to craft hooks, cliffhangers, and minute-to-minute narrative escalation
• Experience with AI generation tools such as Runway Gen-4, Sora 2, Kling 3, Veo 3, Pika, Higgsfield, or Seedance
• Experience with vertical drama platforms
• Fluent in English
• Goal-oriented with strong ownership, commitment, and a doer mindset
