📋 Description

• As a Senior Application Developer at Horizon Industries, Limited, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining critical data transmission APIs within the robust MuleSoft development framework. This pivotal role is instrumental in ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient integration of data across our enterprise systems, underpinning the operational integrity of our clients' digital infrastructure.
• Your responsibilities will extend to the in-depth analysis of system traffic patterns, providing crucial insights into performance metrics and overall system health. This proactive monitoring allows for the early detection of potential issues and informs optimization strategies, ensuring our API gateways operate at peak efficiency.
• You will serve as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, meticulously troubleshooting and resolving complex issues that arise within the API ecosystem. This collaborative approach ensures that technical solutions align seamlessly with business objectives and user needs.
• A significant aspect of your role will involve supporting product change requests and implementing enhancements. You will apply software development best practices to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code, contributing directly to the evolution and improvement of our application landscape.
• The position demands a deep understanding of various data transmission schemes, including but not limited to HTTP, SMTP, TLS, proxies, and web APIs. You will leverage this knowledge to design and implement robust integrations that facilitate seamless data flow between disparate systems.
• You will be instrumental in creating and optimizing process automation solutions. This involves utilizing low-code/no-code Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) tools such as Appian, Salesforce, or Nintex, to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
• A core component of this role is supporting and contributing to Agile and hybrid low-code application development methodologies. You will actively participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and deployment, adhering to best practices and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of API Gateway (API GW) solutions, ensuring they meet stringent security, performance, and scalability requirements. This includes understanding the nuances of API management and its role in a modern enterprise architecture.
• The role requires a proactive mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation in API development and integration strategies. You will be encouraged to explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance our service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of data transmission schemes (HTTP, SMTP, TLS, proxies, web APIs).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#/.NET, Python, SQL, or C++.
• Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) supporting low-code/no-code platforms.
• Knowledge of Agile and hybrid application development processes.
• Experience in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform development.
• Must possess an Active Secret Clearance.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• DoD 8570 Baseline Certification: IAT Level I (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (required within 6 months of hire).
