- • Senior Application Security Engineer role focused on embedding security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure secure-by-design practices are integrated from requirements through deployment and maintenance, directly supporting Infiterra’s mission to transform the subscription economy with a trusted, scalable platform.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting threat modeling (e.g., STRIDE), performing security-focused code and architecture reviews, executing manual and automated web application security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning), integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines, supporting incident response for vulnerability disclosures, and enabling engineering teams through training, secure coding guidelines, and hands-on guidance.
- • The Engineering team is distributed across Greece with headquarters in Thessaloniki, but this role is fully remote, allowing collaboration with product and engineering teams across time zones to strengthen application security posture as a trusted partner, not a blocker.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-native security, API and microservices protection, AppSec tooling optimization, and security program maturity, while influencing secure development culture and gaining hands-on experience in threat modeling, vulnerability management, and security automation within a fast-growing, international tech environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong understanding of secure software development principles and experience working within modern SDLCs and agile workflows.
- • Solid knowledge of common vulnerability classes (OWASP Top 10, CWE) and hands-on experience with application security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning, dependency scanning).
- • Experience integrating security tooling into CI/CD pipelines and performing manual and automated web application security testing (e.g., injection flaws, auth issues, access control gaps).
- • Ability to assess risk pragmatically, prioritize remediation, and understand cloud-native architectures, APIs, and microservices.
- • Background working closely with product and engineering teams to review security controls for new features, services, and architectural changes.
- • Nice to have: Exposure to security metrics, maturity models, or AppSec program building.
