- • Senior Architectural Technician role focused on producing consent-ready architectural documentation for New Zealand aged care and multi-unit residential projects, ensuring compliance with NZ Building Code and standards.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing drawing sets (floor plans, elevations, sections, details), developing and maintaining coordinated Revit models, managing documentation workflows via Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bluebeam Revu, and liaising with local consultants and suppliers to ensure accuracy.
- • Pear Tree operates an offshore team supporting NZ-based architectural practices, delivering technically accurate documentation under the guidance of a NZ-based Senior Architect, with a focus on quality, independence, and adherence to NZ project delivery models.
- • The role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in NZ-specific architectural documentation, lead documentation packages autonomously, and contribute to high-quality residential and aged care projects while working remotely with a distributed team.
🎯 Requirements
- • Architectural Technology qualification or equivalent (Diploma, Bachelor, or recognised technical qualification)
- • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in architectural documentation
- • Minimum 2 years of documented offshore delivery experience working with a NZ or Australian architectural practice, with portfolio evidence of NZ consenting and construction documentation
- • Solid working knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code, NZ standards, and NZ project delivery models
- • Proficiency in Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Bluebeam Revu (all three platforms essential)
- • Strong written and verbal English communication skills for effective distributed team collaboration
- • Reliable high-speed internet and a professional, dedicated remote working setup
