- • Embed within one of Jerry’s core business units — Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships — to own the analytical function end-to-end for that domain.
- • Define the right business questions before initiating analysis; challenge flawed or ambiguous questions and ensure every analysis drives a concrete decision.
- • Build and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports using SQL (ClickHouse) and Metabase to track key performance indicators and surface actionable insights.
- • Conduct independent data analyses using Python and Jupyter Hub to uncover trends, test hypotheses, and evaluate the impact of initiatives.
- • Design and execute experiments to validate assumptions and optimize outcomes across product, growth, or operational levers.
- • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, persuasive recommendations for stakeholders in product, engineering, finance, and operations.
- • Drive execution of data-informed decisions by collaborating directly with cross-functional teams to implement changes and measure results.
- • Own critical business outcomes without waiting for approvals — act with ownership as if your name is on the door, even when issues fall outside your formal scope.
- • Avoid unnecessary slides or presentations; focus exclusively on work that materially moves business metrics or changes strategic direction.
- • Operate as a first-principles problem solver: break down ambiguous challenges into testable hypotheses before touching data or building models.
- • Communicate directly and precisely with leadership and peers — no burying the lede, no corporate fluff, only clear, evidence-based insights.
- • Work in a high-autonomy environment with no bureaucratic delays, unnecessary meetings, or redundant processes.
- • Contribute to scaling Jerry from 5M to 50M customers by identifying and accelerating high-impact opportunities across new verticals like home, motorcycle, and RV ownership.
- • Use GitHub for version control of analytical code and collaborate on shared data pipelines and reporting infrastructure.
- • Partner with AI and automation teams to integrate data-driven insights into product features and customer-facing systems.
- • Maintain a relentless focus on impact: every task must directly influence a key business outcome, metric, or strategic initiative.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth technology company
- • Strong analytical skills with ability to independently pull, structure, and interpret data using SQL, Excel, or Python
- • Proven track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering measurable business impact
- • Clear, persuasive communication skills with ability to influence leadership-level decisions
- • Experience driving end-to-end execution of data-informed initiatives, not just reporting insights
- • Comfort working in fast-paced, high-autonomy environments with minimal process or bureaucracy
