As a Senior Associate, Exchange Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, accuracy, and scalability of Kraken's spot and derivatives exchanges, operating in a critical 24/7/365 environment.
• • This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position where you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our trading platforms, including market configurations, administrative tooling, and real-time incident response. You will gain deep expertise across all market types and administrative systems, becoming a vital contributor to our operational excellence.
• • Your core responsibilities will encompass executing and validating complex configuration changes across our spot, futures, and margin products. This involves meticulous adherence to defined approval flows, robust version control practices, and comprehensive documentation standards to maintain the integrity of our trading infrastructure.
• • A significant aspect of the role involves proactive monitoring of exchange health. You will be tasked with observing platform performance, responding swiftly to alerts, and performing first-line incident triage. This requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to diagnose issues rapidly, escalating to engineering teams when necessary to ensure minimal disruption.
• • Beyond immediate incident response, you will actively participate in post-incident analysis, contributing to thorough documentation and the implementation of remediation tasks. This feedback loop is crucial for continuous improvement and preventing future occurrences.
• • You will be instrumental in ensuring operational readiness for all changes. This includes performing structured readiness checks, such as configuration diffs and scenario testing, to mitigate risks before deployment.
• • A key part of your contribution will be maintaining and enhancing our operational documentation, including runbooks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and checklists. You will also be encouraged to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

• • Comfort and proficiency in working with technical systems and internal administrative tools are paramount. You will become an expert user of our proprietary systems, leveraging them to manage and maintain the exchange.
• • You will be expected to participate in shared on-call rotations, ensuring continuous coverage and support for our global operations.
