📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end infrastructure projects on Azure, from problem definition and technical design through implementation, rollout, documentation, and operational ownership.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Azure Terraform Modules and Azure Landing Zones to ensure scalable, repeatable, and compliant cloud environments.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and management of application infrastructure using GitHub Actions and Azure PaaS services including Azure Data Factory, Azure App Insights, and Azure Front Door.
• Maintain and optimize cloud systems to meet business requirements and regulatory compliance standards, particularly in data protection and healthcare-related frameworks.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis to ensure rapid resolution and implement long-term preventative measures for cloud infrastructure.
• Integrate security best practices into every phase of the infrastructure lifecycle, ensuring alignment with data privacy and healthcare industry regulations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to translate technical needs into infrastructure solutions and communicate progress clearly to stakeholders.
• Write comprehensive documentation for technical procedures, system configurations, architecture diagrams, and deployed solution designs.
• Identify opportunities for infrastructure automation and cloud-based solutions to solve operational inefficiencies and improve system reliability.
• Own and create backlog items independently, prioritizing tasks that enhance scalability, performance, and operational resilience of Azure-based platforms.
• Implement and manage container orchestration using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including deployment models, monitoring, and observability practices.
• Apply DevOps methodologies to foster collaboration between development and operations teams, driving cultural adoption of automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Design and maintain monitoring solutions for cloud infrastructure using Azure-native tools and third-party platforms to ensure system health and performance.
• Scale enterprise platforms on Azure using proven reference architectures to support growing user bases and expanding geographic reach across the U.S.
• Work in a remote, contract/B2B arrangement with a full-time 40-hour weekly schedule supporting a digital health platform serving a large portion of the U.S. population.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and/or site reliability engineering
• 5+ years of experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., AKS, EKS) including deployment models and monitoring/observability
• Expertise in Azure Terraform Modules, Azure Landing Zones, Azure Networking, Azure App Insights, Azure Front Door, Azure PaaS/PLDMC Services, Azure Data Factory, and GitHub Actions
• Proven experience scaling platforms on Azure with strong understanding of Azure reference architectures
• Expertise in implementing DevOps culture and fostering collaboration between development and operations teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to convey technical progress clearly to stakeholders and leadership
