Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end BI lifecycle for a Fortune-500 healthcare technology division, translating billions of rows of clinical and financial data into board-ready insights that directly influence revenue-cycle strategy and patient-outcome initiatives across 2,000+ provider sites.
- • Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade data pipelines, ETL workflows, and star-schema warehouses in SQL Server / Azure Synapse that consolidate EHR, claims, and practice-management sources, ensuring 99.9 % uptime and sub-second query performance for 500+ concurrent analysts.
- • Develop advanced statistical models—regression, clustering, time-series forecasting—in R or Python to predict denial rates, patient propensity-to-pay, and optimal staffing levels, delivering ROI cases that have already saved clients $18 M in 2023.
- • Create interactive Power BI / Tableau dashboards that slice KPIs (AR days, clean-claim rate, cost-per-visit) by region, provider, and payer, enabling executives to drill from enterprise view to individual patient account in three clicks.
- • Partner with VP-level stakeholders every sprint to prioritize analytic backlogs, translate vague business questions into precise hypotheses, and present findings that routinely change policy within 48 hours of delivery.
- • Institute data-governance guardrails: write reusable SQL snippets, version-control DAX measures, document lineage in Confluence, and champion a culture where "single source of truth" is non-negotiable.
- • Lead root-cause analyses on revenue leakage—identifying coding gaps, payer underpayments, and process bottlenecks—then craft corrective action plans that lift collections by 8–12 % within one quarter.
- • Automate manual Excel/Access workflows into scalable solutions, eliminating 20+ hours of weekly grunt work while boosting data accuracy from 92 % to 99.5 %.
- • Mentor junior analysts through code reviews, lunch-and-learn sessions, and pair-programming, raising team technical NPS from 7.2 to 9.1 in six months.
- • Stay ahead of healthcare regulatory shifts (HIPAA, CMS price-transparency rules) and incorporate compliance requirements into every new dataset and report.
- • Contribute to product roadmap by feeding field insights back to engineering, influencing next-gen features that 500+ hospitals will rely on for margin improvement.
- • Thrive in a fully remote, asynchronous environment where Slack threads replace meetings, OKRs are transparent, and your best idea wins—regardless of title or time zone.
