📋 Description
- • Provide project management for natural resource projects across the Midwest and throughout the United States, ensuring timely and compliant delivery from proposal to completion.
- • Conduct natural resource surveys including wetland delineations, wildlife surveys, and threatened and endangered species assessments using field survey techniques and sub-meter accuracy GPS technologies.
- • Support Nationwide 404 and 401 environmental permitting processes and coordinate with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on regulatory submissions and compliance.
- • Evaluate potential environmental impacts of development projects on wildlife habitats, wetland systems, and aquatic ecosystems, and develop mitigation strategies aligned with client objectives.
- • Perform water and soil sampling, data interpretation, and aquatic impact studies including collection of fish and benthic macroinvertebrate populations and in-stream habitat assessments.
- • Manage post-survey data and prepare technical reports for federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- • Lead environmental consulting projects by managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and subcontract agreements while tracking financials including forecasts, change orders, and invoicing.
- • Serve as the primary client manager for developers, utilities, state and local governments, municipalities, and legal counsel, maintaining strong client relationships and communication.
- • Support emergency response efforts in technical advisory and on-site field roles, including rapid deployment to incident sites as needed.
- • Contribute to proposal development by preparing scopes of work, cost estimates, and technical approaches for new business opportunities in the Great Lakes region.
- • Initiate and pursue business development for natural resources services in the Great Lakes area through client meetings and networking.
- • Maintain compliance with all company environmental, health, and safety policies, as well as applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- • Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and participate in required safety training programs, including maintaining HAZWOPER certification.
- • Obtain and maintain DISA and TWIC clearances as required for access to secure and sensitive sites.
- • Work in diverse field environments including wetlands, waterways, and remote locations under extreme weather conditions, requiring physical stamina and ability to navigate uneven terrain.
- • Perform fieldwork involving lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, crawling, bending, stooping, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- • Manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines, balancing fieldwork responsibilities with report writing and administrative tasks.
- • Utilize Microsoft Office programs and GIS software for data analysis, mapping, and reporting; maintain high standards of written and verbal communication in English.
- • Operate non-commercial vehicles for local and regional travel, including unscheduled and extended trips with minimal notice.
- • Work in hazardous environments with potential exposure to physical and chemical hazards, including elevated altitudes, standing water, and remediation equipment.
- • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and professional development through training, workshops, and review of industry publications.
- • Function effectively within a matrix reporting structure, collaborating across teams and disciplines to support organizational goals.
- • Maintain strict confidentiality of client and project information at all times.
