📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance multithreaded C++ applications that power live sports broadcasting, video cloud infrastructure, and officiating systems used globally.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, product, and customer teams to implement components for SMART Broadcasting, Video Cloud, GFX, and other critical sports technology platforms.
• Optimize code for real-time video and audio processing, including low-latency encoding, decoding, and synchronization in live production environments.
• Interface with video hardware and peripheral devices to ensure seamless integration between software and physical systems during live events.
• Implement and maintain network protocols for reliable streaming and data transmission between distributed systems in high-stakes sporting contexts.
• Participate in field testing and on-site support during live sporting events to ensure system reliability under pressure and rapid issue resolution.
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions for scalable, resilient software systems that serve global broadcasters and leagues.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing to elevate team-wide engineering standards.
• Champion code quality through rigorous testing, debugging workflows, and continuous improvement practices in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
• Work across diverse domains including UI development, audio/video processing, cloud tooling, and operational automation to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to automated deployment pipelines and operational tooling that enable seamless scaling of Hawk-Eye’s technology across international venues and broadcast networks.
• Engage directly with customers and product teams to translate real-world sports production needs into technical requirements and deliver high-impact features.
• Stay current with modern C++ standards (up to C++20) and apply best practices in memory management, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Support the integration of third-party libraries such as Qt, FFmpeg, and OpenGL to enhance media processing capabilities and user experience.
• Ensure software systems are robust, maintainable, and capable of operating under the extreme demands of live global sports events.
• Participate in post-deployment analysis and incident reviews to refine systems and prevent recurrence of issues in future events.

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in modern C++ (ideally up to C++20)
• Experience writing multithreaded, performance-optimised code
• Familiarity with tools like Git, Visual Studio, and debugging workflows
• Knowledge of relevant libraries and frameworks such as Qt, FFmpeg, OpenGL, or audio/video processing tools
• Exposure to network protocols, cloud technologies, or video/audio encoding workflows is a bonus
• A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn from a world-class engineering team
