- • The Senior CDN & Cloud Network Engineer will design, implement, and support network and identity solutions in AWS as part of Redfin’s Cloud Network and Governance team, playing a critical role in shaping the company’s cloud infrastructure strategy.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading cloud strategy and design, solving complex technical problems in cloud networking, driving cross-team consensus with SEO, Platform, and Infosec teams, promoting technical excellence through Infrastructure as Code and mentorship, and delivering measurable impact by defining and tracking key engineering metrics for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- • The role is part of Redfin’s Cloud Network and Governance team, which supports the company’s mission to revolutionize the real estate industry through data-driven, customer-centric technology solutions in a collaborative, innovative environment.
- • The engineer will deepen expertise in AWS networking services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), cloud observability (Datadog, CloudWatch), and multi-account cloud governance, while developing leadership and mentorship skills through code reviews and process improvements.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of hands-on cloud platform management experience, preferably in AWS, including CloudFront, API Gateway, VPC, WAF, Shield, Route53, VPC Lattice, and AWS Client VPN.
- • Experience with cloud observability tooling such as Datadog and CloudWatch.
- • 2+ years of experience establishing, managing, and scaling multi-account or multi-project cloud environments.
- • Deep passion for Infrastructure as Code with experience using Terraform, Spacelift, Terraform Cloud, Atlantis, or CloudFormation.
- • 3+ years of experience with a scripting language such as JavaScript, Python, or Node.js.
- • Nice to have: Experience with cloud governance tools including AWS Control Tower, Service Catalog, Account Factory, IAM, AWS IAM Identity Center, AWS Organizations, and Cognito.
