- • As a Senior Cloud Engineer at Handshake Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the cloud infrastructure that powers the AI-driven career network connecting millions of students, academic institutions, and employers—directly enabling the next generation to explore careers, build skills, and get hired in the AI economy.
- • You will architect, manage, and evolve scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure across production and development environments, ensuring systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with cloud-native principles while reducing operational toil and accelerating developer velocity.
- • You will define and enforce best practices for cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code, making it easy and safe for engineering teams to ship code confidently and consistently across environments.
- • You will partner with engineering, platform, and security teams to design cloud-native systems from the ground up, mentor peers on cloud best practices, and explore AI-driven innovations in infrastructure automation, observability, and incident response.
- • You will own and evolve IaC practices using Terraform, Crossplane, or similar tools, drive platform improvements that reduce manual effort, and contribute to a culture of documentation, standardization, and shared ownership across the organization.
- • You will work with modern container-based and Kubernetes-native architectures, leverage GitOps workflows with ArgoCD, and apply FinOps and cloud security principles to optimize cost, performance, and resilience.
- • You will join a world-class team with leadership from Scale AI, Meta, xAI, Notion, Coinbase, and Palantir, backed by $3.5B in funding from top-tier investors, and contribute to a mission-driven company redefining work in the AI economy.
- • You will grow your expertise in cutting-edge cloud technologies, AI-integrated infrastructure, and platform engineering while mentoring others and influencing technical strategy at a high-impact, fast-growing organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Deep hands-on experience with GCP (strongly preferred), AWS, or Azure, including running production workloads at scale and troubleshooting complex cloud environments
- • Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform or experience with Crossplane or similar policy-driven IaC tools
- • Fluency with modern CI/CD tooling such as Buildkite, GitHub Actions, and a strong GitOps mindset using tools like ArgoCD or Flux
- • Experience designing container-based and Kubernetes-native architectures
- • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
- • A collaborative spirit, bias toward documentation, and commitment to shared ownership and engineering excellence
