- • The Senior Cloud Engineer I at Kaplan, Inc. is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructures using Azure and AWS to support the organization’s technology and educational mission.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining cloud environments, developing automation scripts with Terraform or CloudFormation, implementing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring performance and costs, ensuring security and compliance, troubleshooting incidents, and mentoring junior engineers.
- • Kaplan is a global leader in education and technology with over 80 years of innovation, committed to collaboration, creativity, and making education accessible while fostering a supportive workplace.
- • In this role, the engineer will deepen expertise in multi-cloud architecture, lead infrastructure optimization initiatives, gain leadership experience through mentoring, and contribute to scalable systems that power Kaplan’s educational platforms.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- • Minimum of 6 years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles
- • Proven experience with Azure and AWS platforms, including managing and deploying services
- • Proficiency in core Azure and AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, and Azure Active Directory
- • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform, ARM templates, or AWS CloudFormation
- • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certification
