📋 Description

• As a Senior Cloud Governance Engineer at Redfin, you will lead the evolution of cloud governance strategy by architecting scalable guardrails and identity solutions that balance developer velocity with security, cost-efficiency, and organizational compliance in a public AWS environment.
• Day to day, you will design and implement automated governance frameworks (SCPs, IAM policies, automated remediation), partner with Infosec and Platform teams to drive consensus on cloud standards, lead Infrastructure as Code development for governance tooling, mentor peers through code reviews, and define and track key engineering metrics on cloud spend, security posture, and resource utilization.
• You will join the Cloud Network and Governance team at Redfin, a company revolutionizing the $75 billion real estate industry through data, beautiful software, and innovative design, operating in a collaborative, customer-centric environment.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in AWS governance and networking services, advance your Infrastructure as Code proficiency with Terraform and related tools, strengthen cross-functional leadership and mentorship abilities, and contribute measurable impact to long-term cloud strategy aligned with business goals.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on cloud platform management experience, preferably in AWS
• Experience with AWS governance services including Control Tower, Service Catalog, Account Factory, IAM, AWS IAM Identity Center, AWS Organizations, and Cognito
• Experience with AWS networking services such as CloudFront, VPC, WAF, Shield, Route53, and VPC Lattice
• 3+ years of experience establishing, managing, and scaling multi-account or multi-project cloud environments
• Deep passion for Infrastructure as Code with experience using Terraform, Spacelift, Terraform Cloud, Atlantis, or CloudFormation
• 3+ years of experience with scripting languages
• Experience with cloud observability tooling such as CloudWatch
