- • As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Helix Operations Inc., you will play a pivotal role in architecting, securing, and evolving the company’s critical cloud infrastructure that supports its genomics platform, enabling personalized and proactive healthcare through DNA insights.
- • You will lead the strategic evolution of cloud infrastructure on AWS and potentially other platforms, architecting highly reliable and scalable solutions, optimizing cloud spending, advancing CI/CD pipelines, defining observability strategies, and mentoring junior engineers while collaborating with product, science, and engineering teams.
- • Helix is transforming healthcare by making genomics a standard of care, partnering with health systems and life science companies to integrate genomic data into clinical practice, with a mission to improve lives through DNA.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive hands-on experience in cloud architecture, deployment, and operations with increasing technical leadership and strategic impact.
- • 5+ years of significant software development experience in Go, Python, or a similar language, with a proven track record in designing and implementing complex cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
- • 5+ years of in-depth experience in cloud computing, including expert-level proficiency with a broad range of AWS services and deep understanding of cloud architectural patterns.
- • Expert-level sysadmin skills in Linux, including mastery of Bash and scripting for automation, diagnostics, and performance tuning.
- • Extensive experience designing and implementing infrastructure-as-code at scale using tools like Terraform and CDK, including defining best practices and standards.
- • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including executive stakeholders.
